The Power of Open Dialogue
Unlike traditional, one-way lectures, this edition of RE101 was designed entirely as an Open Discussion. This format was intentionally selected to bridge the gap between academic theory and on-the-ground market realities.
Attendees actively asked questions, shared personal case studies, and debated practical solutions side-by-side with industry leaders. This collaborative environment allowed participants to view complex operational challenges from multiple critical angles—including legal, financial, architectural, and environmental risk perspectives.
This event brought together seasoned practitioners and high-level consultants who shared their real-world strategies:
Linda T. Wijaya (Founder & CEO, IREI)
With over 20 years of experience in the Indonesian real estate sector, Linda leverages her deep background in architecture and construction to run IREI. Her mission is to empower property enthusiasts with the practical skills needed to build an ethical and highly functional property landscape.
Sugwantono Tanto (Vice Chairman of APPBI & Director of Ciputra Group)
A legendary figure in retail property management. As the founder of the Association of Indonesian Shopping Center Managers (APPBI) and Director of PT Ciputra Property Tbk, he shared masterclass-level insights on commercialization and large-scale asset management.
Anggie Amalia (Principal Sustainability Consultant, Mott MacDonald Indonesia)
A sustainability powerhouse with over 15 years of experience. Holding LEED AP, Greenship Professional, and EDGE Expert credentials, Anggie spearheads decarbonization and energy efficiency strategies for major property portfolios across Southeast Asia.
Dr. Simon Putra (Environment & Society Leader, Mott MacDonald Indonesia)
An expert in mitigating environmental and social risks. He explored how to integrate spatial technology (GIS) to measure urban climate resilience, master water management, and utilize green infrastructure financing models like Land Value Capture.
The crown jewel of the open discussion was the sustainability module (Sustainability & Resilience) delivered by Anggie Amalia.
According to her framework, sustainability is no longer an "optional add-on expense" or a corporate buzzword. Instead, it serves as a high-performance operating system (OS) that links every aspect of a business, multiplies asset value, mitigates risk, and future-proofs portfolios.
"Sustainability is not just a department within a company. It is a value multiplier that generates long-term returns for people, the planet, and business longevity."— Anggie Amalia, Mott MacDonald Indonesia

At RE101, IREI and its panel of experts proved that sustainable design is no longer just a moral choice it is a highly profitable, strategic business imperative. By combining modern technology, an understanding of national green taxonomies, and nature-sensitive designs, Indonesian real estate players now have a robust blueprint to build a highly profitable, future-proof property empire.
